ACCESS CHECK

Web accessibility audit (WCAG 2.1)

Can everyone use your website?

A customer who navigates only with a keyboard, one who uses a screen reader, one with poor eyesight: all of them must be able to buy from your site. Since June 2025, the European Accessibility Act requires this of online stores too. We check the site point by point and tell you what needs fixing.

What you get

The deliverables

  • The automated test

All the important pages run through axe-core, the standard accessibility tool.

  • The manual test

Keyboard-only navigation, a screen reader (NVDA), colour contrast, forms and error messages.

  • The report by criterion

Each problem linked to the WCAG 2.1 AA criterion it breaks, with a screenshot and the page where it appears.

  • The fix for each problem

What needs changing, explained for the developer, in order of how many visitors it affects.

How we work

The technical side

  1. 01We choose together the pages that matter: home page, a product or service page, the basket, the forms, the account.
  2. 02We run the automated test on all of them and the manual test on every key customer journey.
  3. 03We group the problems by criterion and by how many visitors they affect.
What you gain

In short

A site any customer can use, a clear plan for the developer and proof that you have checked accessibility.

What you should know

  • The report shows what does not meet WCAG 2.1 AA. It is not a certificate of legal compliance; for your company's exact obligations, ask a lawyer.
  • The European Accessibility Act (Directive 2019/882) applies to online stores too, from 28 June 2025. Microenterprises that provide services have some exemptions.
  • For town hall websites, accessibility is mandatory and we include it in the website offer.
